Moldova provides new humanitarian assistance to Ukraine

Chisinau, 21 February /MOLDPRES/ - The government today approved a draft on the providing of humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, in order to back the residents hit by the war.
To this end, the Material Reserves Agency will release material assets worth about five million lei (250,000 euros) from the state and mobilization reserves to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU).
To ensure the quick intervention in the providing of the humanitarian aid, the Interior Ministry will receive over 100,000 lei from the government’s reserve fund for transport expenses.
„The allocation of these resources will allow receiving, forming and carrying the humanitarian assets to the places where they are indispensable,’’ the Interior Ministry said.
Moldova has earlier provided also other consignments of humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
