Polish companies invited to Moldova

Chisinau, July 4 /MOLDPRES/- Poland ranks seventh among Moldova's trade partners, and the value of foreign trade in the first four months of 2024 increased by 26.7% compared to the same period last year and amounted to $168.1 million. "This is a positive signal, but we can definitely do more," said Deputy Prime Minister Dumitru Alaiba, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, who held talks with his Polish counterpart Krzysztof Paszyk today.

The two officials discussed ways to further boost economic cooperation between Moldova and Poland.

Alaiba invited Polish companies, including those from the IT sector, to invest in Moldova.

"We already have two Polish companies that are resident in Moldova IT Park. We are open for new investments. We are grateful for the support we receive from Poland in our European path. We are glad to have a reliable partner", he said.

There are 80 enterprises with Polish capital operating in the Republic of Moldova, with investments in the share capital of 227.3 million lei.
