1.2 million lei grants for diaspora associations

Chisinau, July 8 /MOLDPRES/- 13 diaspora associations and educational centers for the study of the Romanian language abroad will benefit from grants worth 1,199,900 lei from the state budget.

The projects were nominated winners in the grant competition of the Program for supporting cultural and educational activities in diaspora, part of Diaspora Engagement Hub (DEH), 2024 edition.

"We are thus contributing to the promotion of national identity, culture, language and traditions abroad," the Diaspora Relations Office said.

The program aims to harness the potential and support the associative environment of the diaspora and educational centers for the study of the Romanian language in order to strengthen, develop and actively participate in the promotion of national identity, culture, language and traditions abroad.

The grants are state budget - funded.
