Five dairy cattle breeders to benefit from 4 million dollar- grants under AGGRI project

Chisinau, August 13 /MOLDPRES/- Commission for the evaluation and approval of grants under AGGRI (Agriculture Governance, Growth and Resilience Investment project) for Moldova, chaired by Iurie Scripnic, State Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA) analyzed the nine files submitted by cattle breeders for milk, in order to obtain financing. Following the evaluation, five files were declared eligible, and the total amount of the requested grants is approximately 4 million dollars.

The AGGRI project has a total value of 55 million euros, of which 21 million euros are intended for the development of the livestock sector, including production and processing infrastructure. Eligible farmers must co-finance at least 50% of the investment value and submit the necessary documentation, including a long-term business plan.
