Moldovan education ministry set to provide all schools with new textbooks in 2024-2025 academic year

Chisinau, 30 August /MOLDPRES/ - The Education and Research Ministry (MEC) is set to provide all schools with new textbooks (at a level of 100 per cent) for the 2024-2025 academic year. Education and Research Minister Dan Perciun made statements to this effect at a today’s news conference on the beginning of the new school year.   

For this, in 2024, MEC launched a new procurement of school manuals for 67 titles, of which 27 with translations.  

Dan Perciun also referred to aspects dealing with the curriculum development and piloting of an alternative framework plan, centralized organization of the examination of the ninth form, establishment of 100 bases of teaching practice, piloting of the school autonomy and of a new form of financing in kindergartens, de-bureaucratization of the sector, turning to good account of the investments in infrastructure, internationalization of universities, launch of the fund for innovation and technological transfer in research, launch of the 100 Stories national reading programme.
