Moldovan Agriculture Ministry says peasant farms must speed up changes of state identification number to receive financial assistance

Chisinau, 9 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry (MAIA) warns that, in accordance with the provisions of the Law on peasant farms, the Public Services Agency (ASP) provides for free the state identification number (INDO) to the active peasant farms. The non-modification on term of the new IDNO procrastinate the transfer of subsidies to the beneficiaries’ accounts.    

In the context, the Agency of Intervention and Payments for Agriculture (AIPA) informs the farmers with legal organization form, Peasant Farm, about the need to speed up the change of the state identification number (IDNO). This given the fact that MAIA is in the process of elaboration of a draft government decision on the establishment of the way of providing the assistance to the farmers hit by the emergency situations with natural character, Drought and Strong Heat, for the 2024 year in wheat and maize, through which the financial assistance will be distributed.

„Therefore, in order not to create difficulties in the carrying out of payments, we ask all applicants for subsidies to inform AIPA about the assigning of the new fiscal code /IDNO, in order to change the data in the Information System on the record of the applicants and beneficiaries of subsidies, through sending the information to the email: aipa@aipa.gov.md,’’ MAIA said.   

The government ruled to allocate 100 million lei for the partial compensation of the losses recorded because of the drought and heat. MAIA will distribute this financial assistance through AIPA.
