German Defense Ministry delegation visits Chisinau

Chisinau, July 9 /MOLDPRES/- A delegation of the Defense Ministry of the Federal Republic of Germany is on a working visit to Chisinau on July 8-10.

They approached issues related to current cooperation and identification of potential directions of support in reforming the national defense system.

Attending the meeting, Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatii appreciated the involvement of the German partners in the reform processes of the National Army, through the assistance provided over the years in strengthening defense capabilities, as well as enhancing national resilience to security challenges.

The discussion agenda focused on expertise, training opportunities for the National Army and logistical assistance.

The participants also discussed the participation and performance of Moldovan peacekeepers in peacekeeping operations under the aegis of the UN or other international organizations.
